Avira Update Issue

I am using Avira Free Security on a Mac running v 10.15.7. I updated from Avira Antivirus to Avira Free Security a few weeks ago. The installation was fine and there have been no problems up to now. However, I now seem to be having a problem with Avira updates. I shut my Mac down between uses. When I switch on my Mac after a few minutes I can see that Avira has updated. The issue I am now seeing is as follows. I switched on my Mac and after a few minutes I can see that the latest Avira update is 14:00. Later Avira does another update and then shows the latest update as 16:00. If I then switch off and switch on my Mac the latest Avira update shows as 14:00 - the 16:00 update seems to have been lost. Avira does do another update - say at 16:30 but if I switch my Mac off and on the latest Avira update shows as 14:00 again. Switching my Mac off seems to lose any updates done after 14:00. Do someone know what is happening and how I can fix??

  Hello,

  Well, it's quite difficult to understand your request in detail.

  So, first of all, no updates went lost. If they're downloaded they are set and will be used. It seems that - if we can follow your explications correctly - there's an error while syncing the timestamp from macOS to our Avira database (local).

  This wouldn't be a security gap, more a design flaw.

  Sadly, we cannot reproduce your request, so it seems not to be a bug.

  If it is an error while syncing the timestamp is the only solution to uninstall and then reinstall Avira??
