Setup Issue for Avira Free Security

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling this program a few times now, same outcome every time. It gets stuck on the setup screen to grant it disk access. The system extension worked, the program is running and has the icon at the top saying RTP is on, but opening the software gets me no further than step 5 and 6 of setup. It is the latest version of free security(1.4.3) on big sur 11.2.1, no conflicting programs, I'm not sure what the cause is.
