Free avira not initialising anymore at startup. Icon in systray disappears after a while.

Aside from a solution to fix this, which I doubt exists, I was wondering if it is really necessary to uninstall my actual avira b4 installing a new one, since I will loose my settings I guess.

The digital assistant Mark pointed out to you: "I am here to help you, but my support is limited to your subscription" and "You may be prompted to Upgrade depending on the service level needed. If you have a customer account, please log in to take advantage of Premium Support." A satisfactory answer in the chat is only possible if the subscription is correctly registered.
Is there a reason why you don't even specify your installed OS with version number? "...if it is really necessary to uninstall my actual avira b4 installing a new one," The support team will answer this question based on your installed Windows version number, which you have not provided us.Premium customers with a valid licence and correct registration can contact the support team directly from the customer account under "SUPPORT": via e-mail, support chat and (in some cases) telephone.
