Create, run, schedule, and customize scans

Open the Avira user interface and click Security → Virus scans.
Click Open below Manage scans. A list of preconfigured scans is displayed.

To run, schedule or customize one of the scans, click the related icon at the end of the row.

To create a new scan, click Create scan at the bottom of the window. Name the scan, specify what is to be scanned, set the scan frequency, and click Create.
The newly created scan will be added above the list of preconfigured scans.
