I can' open the programme

last week free avira doesn' t work properly. Every time i click to open the programme a message "Something didn' t work as expected. Avira has been notified and will find a solution as soon as possible" is shown on screen. What's the problem?

  As Windows 8.1 is ancient - an old OS - and no longer supported by Microsoft, please ensure you are using the latest version of Windows 8.1.

  Windows 8.1 support ended on January 10, 2023 - Microsoft Support

  If you are using a paid version of Avira, it might be better to contact our support team. Due to the limited possibilities, it is very difficult to support outdated operating systems here in the Avira Community, in a forum.
