Avira Service Host stopped

My Avira configuration (for starting a scan manually) sometimes cannot be started from the desktop or from the task bar - it simply doesn't open. When I look into the task manager, it says: "Avira Service Host: stopped". What happened and how can I recover Avira Service Host (which presumably causes the troubles with Avira configuration)?

Hello Martin,
you can try to start the avira service host manually. However, please also keep in mind, that avira is still active in the background and that you are safe.
If the issue still persists, I would ask you, if you have a purchased version, to contact our support team directly. They have the possibility to do a deeper analysis.You can do this on the Contact Avira section on the main support-page:

Unfortunately, starting avira service host manually is not possible ("service cannot be started. A windows service first needs to be installed with installutil.exe and then started with ServerExplorer, windows service administration or with NET START"). The Avira icon on the task bar disappeared, and with the Avira icon on the desktop Avira control cannot be started either.
That happened already several times now. I then deinstalled and reinstalled Avira already two times. First days it works again but then the same happens.
It is the Free Avira version.
