Windows freezes during Avira update
Hello, I have the same symptoms as this topic (but I dont want to uninstall Avira): https://support.avira.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360008359077-avgntflt-Windows-freezes-timeout
Windows freezes for 2-3min during Avira update (80%), the only thing I can do is moving the mouse cursor. I have tried reinstalling Avira (with iobit uninstaller and with avira registry cleaner).

Hello,
so the error still occurs after the manual reinstallation? What version of Avira Antivirus is installed? Please check if any other antivirus program is installed, which could occur the error.Best,

Yes it still occurs after manual reinstallation. I have malwarebytes installed, but the problem also appeared before (when I had just Avira).
Product version: 15.0.1910.1604
Virus definition file 8.16.28.112
Engine Version 8.3.54.124

Hello,
please check if you have a database, back up software, or any other software which is handling huge amounts of files. If yes, please add them to the exceptions as described under the following link:
https://support.avira.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000834465-How-do-I-setup-Exceptions-for-Files-Folders-and-Processes-
After that, the timeouts shouldn´t appear again.Best,

I have added all partitions to exceptions, besides C (system) and it still occurs. :(

Hello,
as already described, the timeout is probably caused by a program that processes a lot of data at once. Programs are basically installed under the partition C:
So please go to the program folders under C: and check if there is a backup software or a database that occurs these timeouts.Best,
