Scheduling problems with Avira free version 1.2.144.30330

The newest version of Avira's free anti-virus suite will not run scheduled daily full virus scans. Is anyone else experiencing this? Also, the icon no longer appears in the system tray. How can I  fix it (or how can Avira fix it)?   Using Windows 10.
