macOS Catalina 10.15.4: Avira Antivirus: Can not start

Hello,

I installed Avira Antivirus (from the website) a while ago. After upgrading to macOS Catalina 10.15.4, I can no longer open Avira Antivirus PRO. When I try to open, it says:

'You can't open the application "Avira.app" because it may be damaged or incomplete.'

The uninstaller folder is also empty:

$ ls -al /Applications/Utilities/Avira-Uninstall.app/Contents/MacOS/
total 0
drwxr-xr-x 2 root wheel 64 Mar 6 20:10 .
drwxr-xr-x 9 root wheel 288 Feb 26 04:17 ..

so I can not uninstall!

Q1: What to do?
Q2: Can I download a copy of the the uninstaller?

  Ah, I just found the manual downloadable uninstaller script! woo hoo! (I think this will work)
