i am new to avira - just downloaded the free 30 day trial - do i uninstall my previous internet security software for optimal performance of avira?

  Hello,

  It is always recommended having only 1 security software installed. 2 do not give more security at all but can hinder each other. Even remnants of an old security software can have a negative effect on the new one, can hinder function.

   "Running multiple antivirus solutions on the same system at the same time can lead to unpredictable behavior."
