The "Avira-uninstaller" that is supposed to sit in /Applications/Utilities was never installed. A terminal command I found on Avira's site left some files on the drive and left a process running, "com.avira.scanservice". I used Find Any File to search for every instance of "Avira" and tried to delete them all, but I could not delete several files in /Library/SystemExtensions/, nor could I stop the process. I booted in recovery mode and tried deleting the files with rm -rf, but that did not work either. How can I be rid of this product?
