    Hello Joao,

I'm sorry to hear that your are not satisfied with our new Avira Security.

Because of the changing digital landscape, threats are no longer caused only by viruses and malware, making online protection more complex. To ensure our users remain protected in the connected world, Avira created Avira Free Security, the successor of Free Antivirus. With Avira Free Security, our users still have access to the Free Antivirus that they know, in addition to other functionality to protect their online security and privacy and improve performance. These new features include VPN, Password Manager, Software Updater and more – all managed from the single Avira Free Security interface.

If you do not want the added protection of Avira Free Security, you can remove it with a single click. Please note that, as Avira Free Security is the new version of Free Antivirus, this will also remove your antivirus protection.

You uninstall Avira Free Security as you would any other Windows program. Here are the steps, depending on your current Windows version:

    • Windows 10: 1. Select the Startbutton, then select Settings >Apps > Apps & features. 2. Select the app you want to remove, and then select Uninstall.
    • Windows 8.1 and 81. Press the Windows Key or select Start on the lower left-hand corner to open the Start Screen. 2. Locate Avira Free Security and right-click the app icon to Uninstall.
    • Windows 7: 1. Select the Startbutton, then select Control Panel >Programs > Programs & features. 2. Select the app you want to remove, and then select Uninstall.

    Best,
    Toni
