Ask first, than shoot
CompletedI have Win 10 Windows Security antivirus. I do not like it blocking a file and then asking what I want to do with it. I get tired of hunting for the file and then adding an exclusion. There is one file that Windows blocks and I can't find it on my computer. It is not the file path Windows says it is and a search says it does not exist.
After a scan does Avira ask before it blocks a file? I want the power to choose what is blocked. I don't want the antivirus software choosing for me.

Hello Ray,
That's actually the purpose of a virus scanner - also at Avira - that it alerts you to an error for your security.
You can have this file checked again individually from the quarantine and then insert it again if there is no threat.
If you do not want to quarantine a particular file, you can also add it to the scan exceptions in the settings so that it is not blocked. The question you have to ask yourself - and this is important - is why you cannot find the file in question?
Best regards
