How to exclude a program from software updater

I want Software Update to stop offering to us day a particular program.   I know I can uncheck the box t everytime, but would rather have it just not check that program ever.

  that's not how the Software Updater works. Maybe there will be implemented some feature like that in the future, but for now you just have to ignore the offer if you don't want to update.
