Why would Avira install Opera Browser without even asking for my permission?

that is one of the greatest impertinences I have ever experienced. Users are used to be careful during installation not to install unnecessary programs, but not even giving the user a choice is extremely cheeky. i am certainly not alone with my opinion. please explain why you do that.
