Avira not working after upgrade of OS

Avira running okay but stopped after a Win 10 update ..... had to remove the app and reinstall a new "copy" to make it run again .... is this something I need to do again for future Win 10 updates?

  A Windows update is an upgrade process, which is working deep at the system. So - if possible - we highly recommend uninstalling Avira just before running the upgrade and installing it afterward. 

  This could prevent upcoming issues.
