Avira Free Security 1.3.6 on BigSur (final) prevents SAFARI to start!
As per title, Safari hangs at startup. You need to wait 1-2 minutes or force-quit.
Only workaround I found is to disable real-time protection.
I'm using latest Avira Free Security and final BigSur version.
Is this a known issue?
Thank you!

Hello Mauro,
Well, this sounds mad but cannot be an issue in general. We've tried to reproduce this behavior but it worked like a charm.
So please try to run a reinstallation to make sure you're using a clean installation. Also please provide further details about your used system and check if you are using another AV solution.
In addition, clean your browser cache as this could be an issue if it becomes too large.
Best,

Hi Lukas,
Yes, it may depends on some strange issue related to my specific macOS environment.
I don't know why.. but this morning it's working fine again :-) I'm launching several times Safari (v 14.0.1 build 16610.2.11.51.8) without hanging at all.. ( I did cleanup browser cache and history several times, even earlier... )
I'll update again if the problem re-surfaces..
Thank you!
Mauro
