where can I go to get the avira activities showing updates, virus detections, etc.?

  Hello Linda,

  Unfortunately, you have not given any information about your installed version.
  Assuming that the new interface is installed, you will find your updates and virus reports.

  

  Normally, after installation, the Avira icon (white screen on a red background) should open with a left click.
  On the left side you will find 4 categories in which the individual areas can be opened.
