The VPN is constantly causing my Internet connection to drop. As others have asked and not been answered, I need to disable it. Why have a support forum if no one answers the questions?

  If you don't like the VPN or you have problems with it, yes sure, you can deactivate it.
  Unfortunately, you have not specified which Avira license you have installed.
