With the decission of the Schrems II and the way foward

Bottom line: 16 July 2020, the European Court of Justice issued the Schrems II judgement with significant implications for the use of US cloud services.
Companies must now themselves verify the privacy protection in the recipient country in order to use the SCCs.
The court rejected the legality of the so-called Privacy Shield scheme, which legalized data transfers to the United States.
