Click an email link to enter payment information for subscription renewal
So, after many years following good advice to never click a link in an email to enter account information, even in an email that looks 'real' ... I now have to do this to pay for my subscription renewal? This takes me to a page that I think is genuine, but does not say how much I will be charged, just wants me to enter my card details.

Why can't I log in to my account dashboard and do this from there?

We don't have your questions, we can't see them. We don't know what page you have.
It would be quite daring and irresponsible to say, "yes, that's fine, go ahead and enter your card details."
