Cannot uninstall Avira Anitvirus 2018 so i can pugrade to windows 10

Hello,

I have been watching so many youtube videos trying to uninstall avira and avast but i keep hitting a wall.After accessing Regedit and pressing delete, it says cannot delete avira,error while deleting key.I then go to permissions, press advance, press change owners, press advance, press find new, in this section i have tried selecting various ones but they all lead to a wall.so...after selecting one of the options, i check the boxes "replace the owner on subcontainers and object" and the box "replace all the child object permissions" and then click "apply". and here is the BIG WALL...it says Regedit could not set security in the key currently selected and some of its subkeys. PLEASE HELP!!! Avira registry cleaner doesnt do anything, it prompts me to update and that cannot happen bc of the above problem.

  Hello Christopher,

  Well, this seems an issue with two installations of antivirus software. So as you already used our removal tool, please use this one in the safe mode of your Windows installation. This might is the best entry point to fix this error. Also, make sure that - as long as you're in safe mode - you also remove other antivirus software as well.
