Is Avira Free suite protecting against Paas virus?

As you know recently, a new virus has come called Paas virus which is a ransomware virus from the STOP/DJVU virus family. It encrypts your files, banning you from opening them, and ads the .paas file extension. 
Is Avira free suite protecting personal computers against that?
