Was this ever resolved? I'm having the same issue. Looks like Avira hasn't updated since March!

I have the same problem.  Why doesn't Avira respond?

I have been contacted by CS but it is still not resolved. The only thing I can think of is another program is interfering. I have Crashplan, CleanMyMac, and iMazing all running, but have shut them off, uninstalled and reinstalled Avira and still getting the same error.  It hasn't updated since March!  If they can't get this figured out I might have to find a different antivirus.  BTW- I'm running Mac OS 10.14.6 which updated last night....

As an update, I was told by Avira that they weren't supporting my build of Mac OS 10.14.6. So now it seems like a waste of money to have an antivirus engine that isn't up to date. I hope they resolve this. Also open to other suggestions for antivirus program that work.
