Spam email

Since 14 June 2021, I've received around 100 spam emails from various senders. These seem to arrive daily (approx 12-15 each day) and I'm concerned that my email has been hacked as I've never received so many spam emails before. (I've been an internet user for over 20 years).

Nothing has been added to my online activity, I only use a Whatsapp account and no other social media accounts.

Does anyone have a comment to make or is it just the way of the world of spammers these days that they have nothing better to do with their lives??
