Avira Free Security will not install more than 2%

I want to try Avira Free Security in place of Avast however install does not go more than 2% before it stops saying your installation couldn't finish click here or try again later. I have tried all the actions suggested and tried the Avira Registry Cleaner but this application will not install. Should I give up and use another application?
