avgnt.exe Memory could not be written error

My computer is set to automatically shut down in the evening using the program Macro Express.  After installing Avira, the attempt to auto shutdown gives:  avgnt.exe... "GDI window... Memory could not be written" error and the Windows 10 machine hangs at the login prompt until I shut it down manually.

I have two computers that use Avira and the Macro Express shutdown.  One creates this error and the other does not.

If I execute the shutdown macro manually, it works normally without error.  So it must be something Avira is doing around 9PM each night???

What is happening?
