Avira Security Free Android blocking app MMS

I can only send and receive MMS using the stock Messages app in Android 11 if I turn of Avira Security Free. I checked and my cell provider APN is correct. The APN is locked by the carrier. What am I missing? Such a popular and good antivirus shouldn't really have such a serious flaw. TIA
