How can I deactivate on demand scanner?

The previous post with same title came to no action.

I have the same problem on Windows 10 on an old PC and Avira takes away ALL availability on Hard Disk.

Is uninstalling Avira the only way to to deactivate on demand scanner ?

Probably go back to Linux.

  I do understand that it is really frustrating if a program slows down your device.

  
  Please keep in mind that old PCs often don't meet the minimal system requirements to run software flawless.

  Although we highly recommend to not deactivate the real time protection, if you see no other way, find a guide for possible configurations under following link:
