    Hello Erik,

    If the subscription was purchased in the Avira online shop, there is no need to add an activation code. The licence is activated immediately upon purchase to the email address of the order.
    If the licence was purchased from the dealer and an activation code was sent to you, you can insert it according to the following instructions:

    Where did you purchase the licence and when? Please tell us. Without more information we cannot describe where you can find the activation code. Thank you for your understanding.

    I got a e-mail that an activation code was sent to me via- email, but there was an mistake in the e-mail they listed as mine. I have not received the activation code.

    We can't quite understand your details. From whom did you receive the email with the announcement for an activation code?

    Avira has not used activation codes for a long time. Every subscription purchased in the Avira online shop is assigned to a customer account, which is always assigned to the email address used for the purchase and is automatically activated under this email address, see also

    Please contact the company from which you purchased the product. There you can state your mistake in the e-mail address and ask for a correction.
    We have no way of accessing your or the allegedly incorrect e-mail address. Thank you for your understanding.

    You have unfortunately replied with a "no-reply" email. This is a notification email that is only used to inform you of a new comment in your post.

    The license is automatically activated during the ordering process under the e-mail address with which the license was ordered.
    Based on your name, it can be activated as a 2nd e-mail address in your Avira customer account under your name. You know the change of letters in the order email address. Have you checked this because you write: "However, that is not my e-mail"?
