FAQ: License renewal and return/cancellation

Regarding the license extension of a previously purchased Avira product, there are always questions in the forum which we would like to answer/solve here.

• Why did Avira debit my account without my permission?

As you can see, nothing is debited "without permission". However, we can understand that you may not want to commit to one provider permanently or may want to switch to another product from the same provider.

• How can I cancel my Avira subscription or deactivate the automatic license renewal?

Important: Uninstalling the software is not a cancellation!

There are situations that we all know: It's not going well professionally, Corona focuses on other (more important) aspects of our lives, or you just don't have it (anymore) on "the screen" and the license was renewed unintentionally. It can happen, but it's not a breaking point!
