Note
As long as you are running a current Windows operating system, you should not be affected by this issue.
If you experience the following issues, it may be related to the fact that a SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) connection could not be established.
- Your Avira application with a valid license may be downgraded to the free Avira version.
- If you are already logged in, you will probably be logged out automatically after some time.
- The Avira login, register and purchase pages may no longer work.
This happens due to the missing TLS 1.2 (Transport Layer Security) version on your device. To solve this issue, please install .NET Framework 4.6.2 or later.
If you have successfully installed the NET Framework, you do not need to take any additional steps to apply TLS 1.2, it will be enabled by default.
