"Avira Password Manager is disabled"...esport restriction?
CompletedHello. I went to use the Avira app on my iphone today, and it come up with a message:
Avira Password Manager is disabled
-------------
There is an export restriction to the ordering party or named end user. Avira runs automatic checks to ensure we don't export products in breach of government regulations
<link>Close App
----------------
So what the heck is THAT? The Avira program is working on my PC still, so I have access to my Password Manager there, but it's DOA on my phone; trying to contact support via the Chat was totally useless, and the ONLY think one can click on in the phone app is "Close App". Seems a pretty crappy way of handling...whatever the hell it thinks it's handling...
Anyone have any knowledge on this?
INSTANT UPDATE - just before sending this off, I tried again; it started, prompted me for my signon and my master password and took me in perfectly fine. The ONLY explanation I have is if I typed my master password wrong the first time. So...if one mistypes the master password, does AVIRA put out that "disabled" message? That seems to be QUITE the extreme reaction to an incorrect password!
