Windows 11 problem device usb
CompletedHi everyone, Windows 11, with Avira 1.1.90.1. the problem is that with avira installed the windows backup no longer works for me: Backup and restore (Windows 7), errors on uefi. Another problem is the safe removal of USB devices that no longer works. These problems are certainly caused by Avira as uninstalling it works perfectly. I was wondering if it was possible to disable the scan request for each connected USB device. A thousand thanks

I have the same issue with the Windows USB safe remove / eject not working on Win10 with Avira v1.1.90.1 . This has only recently become a problem, and started since the time that the Avira requestor box pops up when inserting a USB stick asking to scan it. This is new behaviour, and it is causing explorer.exe to lock the USB device (checked with sysinternals process explorer), stopping the USB from being cleanly unmounted / safe remove. I suspect a bug in a recent Avira release as uninstalling Avira solves the problem. I reinstalled Avira to check and the problem came back. This is a bug.
Unfortunately I lost data due to not being able to cleanly unmount / eject / safe remove my USB device. The file system on it ended up corrupted.
Because it's the free version there is no way to report this bug to support or developers. This is a real problem, so I hope by posting it here the forum representitives can pass on the problem to the application developers and get an update released.
