Update: I managed to resolve by choosing "Modify" rather than "Uninstall" in the Apps and Features setting in Settings. Please consider this issue fixed.

    Hello Natalie,

We are unable to follow the information you have provided regarding your concern:
"After I accidentally restarted my laptop yesterday".
You don't have any protection for your system now, i.e. before the question about uninstalling.
It would therefore make sense to protect your system again with Avira and then carry out a scan of your system.
Unfortunately, you have not given any information about your operating system (with version number) and your Avira version.
You are writing here in the community, a public forum, we have no access to your customer account or your installation.

Questions about your Avira version and your installation can unfortunately only be handled by the support team via your customer account by email in accordance with GDPR.

The Avira Community is not a way to contact Avira Support directly.
    See the Avira Community Guidelines:

Avira Community Guidelines – Official Avira Support | Knowledgebase & Customer Support | Avira

We have been informed that you have also contacted support.
Premium customers with a valid license and correct registration can contact the support team directly from the customer account under "SUPPORT": via email, support chat and (partly) phone.

    Thank you for your understanding.

    Kind regards
