Unable to open Avira (a.k.a. "Something does not work [...]")

I hope someone can help me because when I tried to open Avira yesterday evening, I just got this message. (see below! It says "Something does not work as expected. Avira has been informed and will soon find a solution." ...yeah, as if. :-( )
The sad thing is that it's now a day later and the situation remains unchanged. Or, rather, it's worsened because Avira now sees my favorite site for reading as a potential 'Malware'-site - It is definitely NOT! - and blocks me from reading anything but the frontpage!
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. (Hint to support: Especially finally finding that solution!!!)

We don't even have any information on this:
- Which OS is installed on your computer (exact name with version number of the last update number)
- Which Avira version do you have installed (exact name of the licence - even for a trial version?
- When was this licence installed by you? Under Subscriptions (+ Show renewal settings) you will find the expiry date)
- What have you done so far to resolve this message?
- Avira now sees my favorite site for reading as a potential 'Malware'-site
What do you mean by: "Avira now sees my favorite site to read as a potential 'malware' site" ? (exact details)! Have you had the message tested by the Avira test lab?
Since something is not running correctly in your installation, it would be a good idea to contact the support team directly.You already had problems in September and contacted the support team. Were you able to update your subscription again?
The digital assistant Mark pointed this out: "I am here to help, but my assistance is limited to your subscription level." and "If you have an account, please log in for premium support services." A satisfactory answer in the chat is only possible if you are logged in correctly.
