Impossible to uninstall Avira
CompletedI've tried a hundred times to uninstall Avira in different ways, and it just keeps overruling me. It says "uninstallation failed" or needs repair "Avira couldn't be repaired". How can I get out of this viscous circle? I simply want to uninstall it! I cannot even temporarily inactivate it. Does anyone have a solution?

Hello Dumbo,
You are writing here in the Avira Community, a publicly accessible forum - an "user2user" forum. We have neither access to your Avira customer account nor to your Avira installation with version information!
Here, the publicly accessible Avira Community is unfortunately no way to contact Avira Support. See the Avira Community guidelines: “How do I create a post? ⇒ Details are important”Avira Community Guidelines – Official Avira Support | Knowledgebase & Customer Support | Avira
Premium customers with a valid license and correct registration can contact the Avira support team directly from the Avira customer account under “SUPPORT”; by email, support chat and (in some cases) telephone.
Access to Avira Support via your Avira customer account is only possible with the e-mail address with which you purchased the Avira license and correctly registered in your Avira customer account! Check your own access data, only you have access to this.
The access data of your license is required for questions to Avira Support, as the digital assistant Mark also pointed out to you: “I am here to help, but my assistance is limited to your subscription level.” and “If you have an account, please log in for premium support services.” A satisfactory response is only possible if you have logged in correctly.
You have not provided any information: Your Avira license, your OS with last update and the number of the last update!
The Avira Community is subject to the strict requirements of the GDPR and can only be processed in accordance with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation, i.e. GDPR-compliant by e-mail with your correct registration via Avira Support. Thank you for your understanding.
Kind regards and a nice Sunday

The support looks like it's only if you pay for it. I wish to get rid of my free version! It's not very moral to offer a free version, then get forced to pay to be able to uninstall it!

Hello Dumbo,
Once again, you are writing here in a publicly accessible forum, we have neither access to your Avira customer account nor to your installation. We have already included the Avira Community Guidelines for your information.
You have neither provided a useful description of your problem nor any information about your “I tried to uninstall Avira a hundred times” !
The digital assistant Mark also drew your attention to a correct registration. "Without a valid license, it is not possible to contact support" - this works via your correctly set up Avira customer account.
Your comment “It's not very moral to offer a free version, then get forced to pay to be able to uninstall it!” is not understandable. You are giving a false description of the Avira free version!
Avira offers a free version. In this version, no connection to an Avira customer account is required, so no contact or even access to support is possible. You are not asked to register, you are not registered, and you do not have access to an Avira customer account for questions!
The paid Avira license is automatically stored to the email address of your order. Each subscription purchased in the Avira Online Shop is assigned to an Avira customer account, which is always assigned to the email address used for the purchase and is automatically activated under this email address during the license period. This allows direct access to support via your customer account at any time during the active license in compliance with GDPR. The Avira Community is subject to the strict requirements of the GDPR and can only be processed in accordance with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation, i.e. GDPR-compliant by e-mail with your correct registration via Avira Support.
You have decided against this license offer. Unfortunately, you have not informed yourself about the differences between the individual Avira offers. You are criticizing your own decision regarding the license you have chosen!
In addition, it would be advisable to read the Avira Community Guidelines already provided by us, see: "Here, the publicly accessible Avira Community is unfortunately no way to contact Avira Support". See the Avira Community Guidelines: “How do I create a post? ⇒ Details are important” Thank you for your understanding.Kind regards
