After being driven mad by the Control Panel popping up every time I go on my computer and for the Avira developers not being able to resolve this issue I uninstalled Avira and have now got 'Bitdefender' it seems really good - can recommend it all you guys who also have been driven mad.

  The Avira technicians are currently looking into the problem with the Avira development department to find out whether it is a possible bug.
  As soon as an update is available it will be published immediately. We regret not being able to provide a different answer at the moment and apologize for the increased workload.

  This is really frustrating problem. This app keeps popping up after every screen unlock.
  Avira recently became just an adware/bloatware-installer.
  I've been using it since the childhood but now I have to switch to something that is less similar to an actual VIRUS.

  Well that's just GREAT! But I have Version 1.0.37.11666 and it's impossible to update it manually. So I'm stuck with this bug until your algorithm decides to push an update for me?
  
  And this seems like a joke because even your Avira Software Updater is not aware of the fact that Avira Antivirus is OUTDATED and causing issues.

  Hello Alex,

  the short workaround, in case you haven't received the latest version yet, is to uninstall Avira and install it again from the website. 

  This way you install the very latest available version.
