The new Avira update / user interface is terrible!
I now have no control over what features of Avira are enabled, and can't disable the many Avira nuisance indications I see every day.
Up until now, I had all the Avira Pro side features disabled except for the anti-virus/malware features. I buy Avira purely for anti-virus, and nothing else.
I definitely DON'T want Avira's viewpoint of what "optimization" or "privacy" means. I absolutely DON'T want Avira to make any system-wide or registry changes of any kind, since those can create latent future failures in an otherwise perfectly stable system. My PC runs perfectly fine right now without Avira making hidden changes that I have no control over.
However, with the new Avira GUI, I now receive a daily notification dot on the Avira taskbar icon to let me know that "something is wrong". I get notified daily that I have "security" and "optimization" issues that Avira thinks I need to address, where I absolutely do not have an issue at all.
As a result, I will now be ignoring all alerts on the Avira icon and possibly miss a real problem, such as a potential virus-related or malware issue.
Because the Avira developers are forcing features on me that I have no control over, Avira has become less useful for me. I will definitely need to look for a new anti-virus supplier when my current subscription expires, unless Avira fixes these so-called new "features". I hate when developers remove long-standing crucial features because they think they know what the customer wants better than the customer themselves.
Is there any way for me to go back to the old Avira User interface for now (and prevent updates to the new version), or disable all "privacy" / "optimization" checks? Avira has permanently lost me as a customer if they won't let me control how Avira anti-virus operates.
