Avira blocks my Flatbed scanner

My flatbed scanner has worked for years.  It's a Canon CanoScan 210 look at how old that is, I've had it since it was new, that is loads of years of it just working perfectly OK.

Now I've installed Avira and my flatbed scanner is not able to scan.  The scan software opens but when it tries to scan it fails.

The only thing that has changed on my computer is I installed Avira.

How do I look though the Avira logs to see exactly which DLL or EXE is being blocked and then enable that so it doesn't get blocked?
