Avira Security Not Opening
I tried opening opening the Avira Security but every time it gives me this message,
"Something didn't work as expected. Avira has been notified and will find a solution as soon as possible."
I use Windows 10 Pro
Computer manufacturer Hewlett-Packard (HP)

Hello,
I'm having the same problem. I can't open Avira, but it will still do scheduled tasks in background. The way I have found to open it is when it prompts whether to scan my computer or not. I used the free version and opted to try the free trial after a scan. The problem persisted after the upgrade process (download, install, restart, etc.). I then uninstalled and reinstalled all of Avira, and restarted my computer. I still can't open Avira via the shortcut or the start menu.

I think I found the issue, I uninstalled it and it worked fine, then I had to restart my computer and it happened again. After I shut down the computer and turned it back on, it was working again, then I remembered the first issue happened after my computer restarted to do Windows update so maybe the issue happens if you restart the computer instead of shutting down.

I am having the same issue with my Avira Prime subscription. Uninstalling and reinstalling Avira Prime has not solved the problem, and it does not appear to be triggered by restarting the computer, either, in my case. I have sent an e-mail message about this issue to the support team.

I also have this issue. I also have an HP with Windows operating system. I have an Intel core i7.

My problem surfaces right after installation and reboot. I couldn't get into the GUI. I went to the control panel to uninstall and decided to select the repair option. The Avira GUI now seems to be working.
