Avira spams me

I have chosen a free license. But lately i recieve a lot of "security messages" from Avira that is really strong suggestions to chose a payed license, because otherwise my computer is at riscue. Very similar to threaths they are.

I am curious how Avira think - why whould Aviras threaths or spamming my computer make me a paying customer?

I can promise that it has the opposite effect. A security company that spams me or threathens me will never have my trust. I also believe i am not unique in that sense...
