How can I disable Cloud Scanner?
CompletedI use Avira on Win PC that has no internet 95% time. File scan is too long without internet (2-3 minutes per file) - I think the issue is in Cloud Scanner. The Cloud Scanner is useless without the Internet - it only hinders. How can I disable Cloud Scanner? - there are NO advanced options in the latest Avira version.

Hello Devid,
Unfortunately, you have not provided us with any information about which operating system (with exact version number and current updates) is installed on your system. We also do not have any information bout your installed Avira version (only: "with the latest version"). Unfortunately, we do not have access to your customer account or your installation.
Here you can find instructions from the Avira Knowledge Base & Support:
If something is still unclear, please let us know, we will be pleased to help.
Kind regards

My OS is - Windows 7 x32 Ultimate SP1, version 6.1.7601.
My AV is - Avira Free Security, version 1.1.71.30368.
You suggest me page "Avira Security for Windows and Protection Cloud" - but it does not help due to my Avira interface has no advanced settings.

@ pascha45,
"Here you can find instructions from the Avira Knowledge Base & Support:"
^^^ Those instructions are useless because are for the previous Avira version which not exist anymore.
fyi: In current (latest) Avira version, there is no option to disable cloud scanner.
Also you marked the thread as "completed". Are you sure that is answered and "completed" ?

Hello D V,
Thank you very much for your help.
I will not answer any more questions here in the community.
Kind regards and a nice weekend

Hello D V,
Your statement:
"Here you can find instructions from the Avira Knowledge Base & Support:"
^^^ Those instructions are useless because are for the previous Avira version which not exist any more.
I will contact Avira about this and will not answer any more questions about installing Avira products here at this time.
The community is a and publicly accessible forum, "user2user", here everybody can answer with helpful information to the posted problem, especially to the Avira Free installation. Avira customers with a valid license can contact the support team directly.
Here are the community guidelines, see also: "How to create a post?" (minimal information and urgently required about the operating system, the Avira version. The TO provided the missing information.)
Avira Community Guidelines – Official Avira Support | Knowledgebase & Customer Support | AviraYour statement:
Also you marked the thread as "completed". Are you sure that is answered and "completed" ?
The sentence is completed from my side with my answer, that does not mean that the post is closed. The last sentence refers to further help:
If something is still unclear, please let us know, we will be pleased to help.
A further helpful answer is still possible for everyone. Any helpful guidance is absolutely gratifying for the thread openers, as well as for the community.
I will continue to respond to questions about the license, entries/searches in the account and how to get there.
Kind regards and a nice weekend

@ pascha45,
Are you Avira's employee or just an ordinary user?

Hello D V - Please note, that your current used operating system Windows 7 isn't supported anymore for a while:
Support Product Lifecycle (avira.com)
Also, note that it's not possible to deactivate "Cloud Scanning".
One more thing: Our voluntary users and we are willing to help in any case - if possible. To gain such a kind of support we need to have an open-minded and friendly conversation.
Best,

@ Lukas Huptas,
"Also, note that it's not possible to deactivate "Cloud Scanning"."
^^ It make no sense to repeat an already well known information.Have you ever look my previous post to pascha45 ? =
"fyi: In current (latest) Avira version, there is no option to disable cloud scanner."You better correct the Avira Knowledge Base article..........

Well D V - We've asked our guys from our SLS team and need to correct ourselves (sorry for that): If you're using the Pro version, you can disable "Cloud Scanning" here:
Click the gear icon -->
Afterward, you're able to deactivate the cloud scanning feature:

My Avira Antivirus Pro: version 1.1.71.30368.
The settings which you are referring are for the previous Avira version. There are no such settings in latest version.
If I click the gear icon -->

Hello D V,
I included the instructions in my first reply, but I didn't know whether the customer had the free version or the pro version - and had asked about these instructions. I didn't have much time the following day, and you had already replied early in the morning on the second day...
My Avira Prime: version 1.1.71.30368 and see my inserted link in my 1st post

I agree with DV.
@Lukas Huptas, please note that Avira has recently released a major update to its products. The screenshots you posted are based on the previous (old) version of Avira. In the latest version of Avira, these advanced settings have been removed.

We've talked with our dev. dept. and they cleared up this case:
Both situations are correct!
Background: While the major upgrade is still in rollout progress the 'old' GUI still is having the option to deactivate 'Cloud Scanning'. With the upgraded GUI it's not (yet) possible to change the status. As soon as the rollout is completed new settings will be released as soon as they're done.

@ Lukas Huptas,
Your clarification noted, thanks.fyi, there are some similar unanswered cases (regarding scan logs) here =

@ Lukas Huptas,
You have to update many articles in Avira Knowledge Base too.
You are confusing your users as the instructions there are FOR THE OLD VERSION ONLY.0
