Watch out for Avira withdrawing unauthorized money from Paypal
CompletedI did not make a purchase but 34.95 euro was deducted from my Paypal account this week. Please be carefull of Avira because they will withdraw money from your account without you making any purchase.
I tried to contact Avira but have not received any mail yet. Not even a confirmation.
I withdrew the credit card from Paypal because I dont want this to happen anymore.

Hello Edward,
Please check your settings under https://my.avira.com in your customer account. In your account at Avira there are 2 email addresses - that means 2 customer accounts. Are these correctly adjusted according to your wishes?
If you do not wish to extend your account, please see the refund instructions:
Since you have not yet received a response to your email, here is the information about the automatic renewal of your contract. I hope this helps you.
If not, please contact us again, we will be happy to help.Kind regards and a nice weekend

Hello Pascha, thank you for the quick response.
In https://my.avira.com under Abonnementen (which means subscriptions) it says: Geen actieve abonnementen (meaning “No active subscriptions”). So how can I cancel it?

Hello Edward,
If you do not find any subscriptions in your account, it probably means that you are not logged in with the email address you used to receive the invoice. Avira has several - 2 - email addresses in your customer account.
Kind regards

Hello Edward,
To answer your question: "So how can I cancel it?"
When ordering, a delivery address should be given, otherwise the email address of the PayPal account will be used, which is of course not the same as yours as access to the Avira customer account.
Have you entered a delivery address?
With the correct email address at registration, the license should appear in your customer account and this can be used to cancel/deactivate the automatic renewal settings.
Kind regards and a nice weekend
